By opening System Settings > Displays you can change your "primary" screen by dragging the black little bar to the display you want and hit the Apply button. ( from http://askubuntu.com/questions/113246/permanantly-set-monitor-as-primary)

Copy the configuration file over to the gdm settings
cp ~/.config/monitors.xml /var/lib/gdm/.config/ (from http://askubuntu.com/questions/11738/force-gdm-login-screen-to-the-primary-monitor)

I have been looking around trying to figure out if it's possible to stream the 2014 NCAA March Madness tournament in Canada with some success. TSN is broadcasting the tournament in 2014 starting with the second round, you can see the schedule here and TSN does allow Rogers and Bell subscribers to watch TSN and TSN2 live at http://www.tsn.ca/tsnschedule/?collection=72&show=68592&section=Sports. Make sure you have your Rogers Anyplace TV username and password or MyBell username and password available to log in. TSN has links to their Android and IOS apps on the TSN GO page at http://www.tsn.ca/go/. All we can do is wait until the tournament gets underway and see whether this works. Based on what it says on the schedule page it looks like the first round games are only available using the TSN GO app for either android or IOS. Note that when I installed the TSN GO app on my Nexus 7 it wouldn't run, poping up a tablet support coming soon message box. Looks like you need to use up your data if you want it to work.

You just have to love the good old CBC. They are going all out in their coverage of the 2014 Olympics offering apps for iPhone and Android and streaming online so Canadian Olympic hockey fans should have no trouble watching both the mens and womens Olympic hockey tournament at http://olympics.cbc.ca/ or on their mobile devices. Best of all it works fine on Linux too. Go Canada Go! Here is a link to the schedule so you can see when Canada plays http://olympics.cbc.ca/news/article/article=olympic-hockey-schedule.html

Unlike last year when there was a pay per view offering TSN is not live streaming any of the 2014 world junior games. Wiziwig.tv says it will live stream the games at http://www.wiziwig.tv/competition.php?part=sports&competitionid=158&discipline=icehockey, unfortunately they are one of those sketchy sites that has lots of confusing ads over the videos. What ever yo do don't install any software that they will suggest will imporve your viewing experience. Tsn.ca is offering "video on demand" replays of the games at http://www.tsn.ca/videohub/Default.aspx?collection=181&show=211605&section=Sports.
